Backerkit Pledge Manager Final Update
A quick reminder for everyone to fill out your information for the Backerkit Pledge Manager. The Pledge Manager will officially close on November 1st and charge cards on the same day. We wanted to give a quick update on that, so we can get everyone set up and ready for our distribution next year! If your address changes between now and when we fulfill, don't worry, there are many ways to update your information for shipping even after the Pledge Manager closes. If anyone ever has an issue with their shipping, always feel free to message us here on Kickstarter or message Backerkit directly (We monitor all tickets there as well).
Prison Dungeon Beta: Calurosa Sanitarium
Now for the fun stuff! In the spirit of the season, we've been hard at work crafting the four Prison Dungeons we unlocked through our 1,000 backer milestone, and we're proud to announce that our first Prison MegadungeonCalurosa Sanitarium, will be released in Beta on October 27th! This is a real chance to play some of Rexfald with your players in a horror-themed megadungeon with 40+ Rooms, 12+ NPCs, and 10+ Monsters straight from the BOTH book. This content will be available for ALL BACKERS (even if you didn't back the Campaign Adventure) so that you can all have a Wild West dungeon to explore in the spirit of this spooky season!
Calurosa Sanitarium is a level 8 dungeon designed for 3-6 players to complete over 2-3 sessions of play. It will come with a full 68x132 tile map that will release with this dungeon (and all future rexfald dungeons). Keep an eye out for when that becomes available in 2 weeks!
Medullia de Salle loves getting to know better the new arrivals to the asylum. After all, most are going to be here until the day they die.
Boomstick is an eccemar well-feared for his fighting abilities. Following a harrowing battle, he developed a split personality where be believed he was actually a gun! Funny if you're just some average homesteader, terrifying if you happen to develop the psychic power to pop heads at the same time.
Spirit Skeletons are the venerated dead of long-lost heroes and villains. Their bones are inscribed with divine runes that allows their spirit to re-inhabit their remains on special holidays. For some, it's a good excuse to connect with your new great-great-great-great-great-grandson. For others, it's a good excuse to settle an eons-old vendetta with the brother buried next to you.
Some Other Updates
We have continued work on the core book (The Gunslinger's Guide to Rexfald) over the past few months, and progress is sure and steady! We are looking at getting the Beta out in late December/Early January, with the final version printing and shipping in late March of 2026. The Campaign Adventure (Bounties of The Highwayman) will enter Beta around March/April of 2026, with a final release around August of 2026.ย
I just wanted to give a quick update that work is continuing and coming along nicely! I'm sharing below a couple of updates on certain elements of the Core book and their completion.\
The Arsenal of our Frontier Firearms continues to grow each day
The lichfield repeater is feared and respected amongst Dusters. "The surest way to make sure your opponent stays dead."
Undertow firearms are the salvaged remains of a collection of powerful firearms that was once thought lost to the depths of Lake Boaz following the unfortunate sinking of the FSS Fitzmund in a freak storm. Now, their gunmetal is hallowed for its effect over wind and tide; gunslingers clearing the skies with a shot or summoning whirlpools with a spin of the cylinder.
In the frozen lands of Great Nuniat, Hoarfrost Flintlocks are famed for both their reliability and lethality. Where other barrels snap and break, these weapons only improve the harsher the cold gets.
Towns and Cities are populating and getting settled across the Frontier
In the heart of the Cinnebar Cenote lies the frontier tradepost of Tribute, a young city that has grown up around an oasis amongst the serpentine canyons and bleached badlands of northern Mahetchee. The ancient temple at its heart has been inhabited by dozens of cultures over thousands of years; the population of the city still reflects these cultural roots.
The City of Spite, Grace's Wound is founded in fracture of crags that cleaves through the permafrost that blankets Great Nuniat. Controlled by vying clans of Dwarves and Elves known as the Barrows and the Montkankers, the city constantly erupts into colorful clan-wars and age-old vendettas that can turn red-hot at the drop of a hat.
More Dusters enter the Endless Frontier! The final book will contain 40 subclasses; with a couple classes gaining a special 4th subclass as our thanks to you!
The College of Conduits is an eclectic college of Bards that draws musical power through powerful cursed instruments. Some of these bards craft their own instruments, imbuing them with an arcane power unique to them; others are gifted their conduits, winning them in bouts of skill or receiving them from divine orchestras.
The Oath of the Courier is a divine calling taken up by those Paladins who deliver divine messages and ensure that their god always shows up on time. They are tasked with delivering relics across dangerous lands, or indeed to deliver the dour news of a death to the loved one of the fallen.

Howdy ya'll! We're excited to announce that our first Wild West Playtest is LIVE! It's been an eventful three months since the finish of the campaign, and we're happy to get you all involved in the wild process of playtesting all the amazing stuff we have in store for y'all on the Endless Frontier.
Yeehaw! How do I Access The Playtest?
In order to access the playtest, you will need to input a password. First, click HERE to be redirected to the page, then input the password: SaddleUp!
A Google Drive link will then be shared with you with all of the playtest content!
After accessing the Google Drive, you will see all of the content in PDF form. From there, feel free to take a look through and see a window into a ton of stuff that we've been hard at work making for you all!

The Ogua is a dark bayou predator that hunts using bioluminescent bacteria that grow in its mouth to mesmerize its prey, while the other mouth eats away at the helpless victim.

Following the discovery of Mount Magic, folk from across the frontier traded in their horses for more exotic rides. Those horses found without a home were sent to abattoirs to be rendered down en masse. A group of druids disgusted by the mass culling attempted to revive the now pasted ponies, resulting in the first glair to rise from the sticky soup that was rendered from their bones.

What's the Objective?
The objective of the first playtest is to get a pulse on the community's feelings for our design. We chose to primarily showcase subclasses, species, guns, spells, mounts and other player options so that we can optimize them for player fun! We also included some DM-focused sections with the Towns and Monsters so that you can start getting a feel for the setting and setting up some encounters!
As you engage with the playtest, use it like you would any other content! Use it in-setting or outside of it! Try it out with one-shots, adventures, or entire campaigns! This content was made because of your support, and we hope you enjoy it!
Future Expectations
In the coming weeks, keep engaged with us on our Discord server to discuss your thoughts and opinions on the content. We will make regular releases of scenarios and encounters over there with maps and special content to really dial in the design.
For those of you who play with the 2014 rule set, we will be releasing a version with 2014 rules in the future. Expect that sometime within the next month in a specific PDF.
In about 2 weeks, an official survey will go live for feedback on the playtest and the different inclusions within it. Feel free to give your thoughts and opinions over there in addition to staying active on our Discord during the playtest!

Thank you all so much for the continued support on the Backerkit Pledge Manager!
We wanted to message you all today to let you know that we updated our costs and were able to optimize to save you all a considerable amount on shipping.
For many of you who already completed the Backerkit Pledge Manager, take another look and you should see your overall shipping costs have decreased.
If you were having issues with your orders being overcharged in the EU and UK, the numbers are correct now.
If you had the Early Bird Dice Offer, that has been included to orders for free (it was originally charging as an Add-On).
We hope that these saving pass on to you, and we thank you for your continued support. We felt it was best to keep our integrity and charge you all fairly, rather than to pocket any sort of ill-gotten gains (that grave ain't full of gold, for those who know).

Yeehaw! ... So what is a pledge manager?
A pledge manager is an online service that collects your shipping information through surveys, calculates your shipping and tax, and allows you to manage your pledge until the project is ready to ship. It is an online portal through which we gather all the pieces necessary to fulfill your order and bring the Rexfald right to your doorstep.ย
The pledge manager also allows everyone to:
Upgrade their pledge or grab extra items
Bring on a friend to make a late pledge
Give you time to edit your shipping details if you have moved.
You do not need to sign up for Backerkit to fill out the survey, but always feel free to follow us over there!

BackerKit Pledge Manager & First Playtest Goes Live This Month! Plus An Update on Production!

Howdy everyone!
We've come to mosey on by to give you all an update on production, what we've been up to, and let you all know that we are happy to announce that the Backerkit Pledge manager will be live in two weeks!ย
We partnered with BackerKit to help streamline our fulfillment, shipping, and late pledges and to give you all one final chance to grab some special add-ons from the campaign! BackerKit's platform will allow you to manage your pledge, update your shipping info, and grab any select add-ons you still want to wrangle up! Late pledges will remain open through September to allow anyone who wants to hop on the bandwagon to jump on before it hits retail!
We've always taken a strong stance on tariffs. Many of you probably remember our "Tariff-Proof Prices" promise that we made during our campaign. To reiterate, we will NEVER charge you more due to global shipping changes, and we are happy to say that we were able to lock in our shipping costs and ensure you all get your items shipped swiftly and without a headache! Many of our shipping rates are actually Lower than they were originally during the campaign, which means that many of our Western lovers across the world can get physical products for Gneiss prices! (Please forgive the pun!)
Before we send out the final Pledge Manager, some of you will be getting your surveys early as a smoke test for BackerKit. Keep an eye on your inbox to see if you're one of the lucky few who will be a part of our first wave of testers!

Our first bundle of Playtest Materials will go live one week after the release of the Backerkit surveys. ๐ First Production Prototypes Are Here! ๐
We have worked super hard over this summer to get the bullet dice, leather bandolier, revolver, and Wild West Miniatures into production! We'll have them physically completed over the next month, but for now, I want to share a few images of what we have going on!

๐ Stretch Goal Plans ๐ย
We hit our 1400 Backer Stretch Goal ๐๐๐! That means we're including a new set of mounts from places like the Heavenly States, Hellish Range, Cryptic World, Elemental Plains, and the Final Frontier!ย
We're still gunning for our Train Battlemaps Stretch Goal! We're only a few thousand away, so tell your friends and we'll be there before you know it! Stretch goals are final once the Backerkit Pledge Manager goes out in 2 weeks, so let's hit it before then, I know we can do it!
Sometimes the bond between rider and mount is so strong that the mount can return from death to serve its rider for the rest of its natural life. Known as Falgraces, these mounts are immortally loyal to those they knew in life. A few even remain on the endless frontier for centuries, training the descendants of the rider they knew in life.ย (A new unlock for our 1400 Follower Stretch Goal! Thank You!)

Our playtest is chock-full of the Wild Western Fantasy Content that you came here for! Almost everything we're including in the playtest will have art and tokens included, so you can immediately incorporate it into your own games! ๐ค 18 Wild West Subclasses ๐ค
Paladins who uphold the line between the living and the dead follow the Oath of The Undertaker. These paladins live close to death in their everyday lives, with many pursuing occupations as surgeons, morticians, and soldiers in addition to their holy duties. Adherents of this oath guide others through death, bridging the transition between the mortal and immortal worlds with holy reverence.
๐ด๐ญ๐ฆ 3 Brand-New Species ๐ด๐ญ๐ฆ
Varments are good-natured folk who take joy in the simple pleasures of frontier life. The first varments appeared following a cataclysmic industrial accident known as the Redrun where the waterways of the land choked with scarlet oil. More similar to awakened beasts than humanoids, varments are a young species already entering into its thirtieth generation.
๐ 15 Western-themed Monsters ๐
The Sundersaur is a primordial fiend that binds itself to fossils that descend into the Hellish Range. These demons desire to bring desolation to the modern world and return it to the chaotic, โprimordialโ state before the dragons first appeared on the frontier.
๐ 7 New Mounts to Wrangle & Ride ๐
Dracolts are draconic steeds adorned with black scales and flowing tendrils that have long been hailed as the fastest mounts on the frontier. These dragons can channel draconic breath through vents on their body to give them an incredible burst of speed.
๐ซ 20 New Frontier Firearms ๐ซ
The Legendary Revolver Blue Exile was wielded by the Archgunner Hezekiah Coen to banish the Demon Leader Hergovoil Orgave and the thirteen members of his demonic posse back to the Hellish Range of Coddard, Land of Cowards.
For the spell-slingers of the frontier, spells like Steady are indispensable tools to have in the arcane holster when a Fireball is a more common greeting than "howdy".
๐ฒ We're Going to Be At Gen Con! ๐ฒ
I am happy to announce that (thanks to our partner Role 4 Initiative) we are going to be at Gen Con from July 31st to August 4th! We will have more information in the upcoming weeks as we roll out the Pledge Manager and Playtest (both of which will go live beforehand), but we're super stoked to perhaps meet many of you and get to really start to build our posse out in the world!
If you backed us to get the bullet dice, leather bandolier, resin revolver, metal or enamel pins, or any of our miniatures, you can swing by and pick them up for no charge. That means for those of you who will be there, you can gain access to a few pieces of your pledge early. We will continue to offer this service for all backers at all conventions we attend, so that you all can get as many pieces of the frontier as possible to your homestead as quick as you can!
